BPI Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL)

Building Performance Strategies Infiltration and Duct Leakage (IDL) course aligns with the professional standards of excellence set forth by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). This certification is a good way to get started in the industry.

This BPI Infiltration and Duct Leakage course is a single-measure certification that meets IECC building code compliance for builders, contractors and code officials who must perform duct leakage test and/or blower door tests on new construction or renovations to existing properties. 

It’s a simple, comprehensive, affordable way for HVAC companies to deliver the tests that builders need to meet IECC codes for air infiltration and duct leakage. This is an in-person, hands-on course.

Official BPI certification requires a passing grade on BPI's field examination. 

When: Training will begin promptly on Friday at 8:00am. There is a lot of material to cover so plan on being there each day until 4:30pm. The instructor will go over the agenda with you on Friday morning.

Exams: The field exams will be scheduled after the class has begun and each student will be assigned a test time for that day.

What to Bring: Photo I.D. (Required for Testing); comfortable clothing for hands-on training. (We will provide all testing equipment and course materials)

Please be on time!

BPI requires that we video/audio record your written and field exams.

Class/sign-in begins at 8:00am.

PLEASE PARK ALONG THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BUILDING AT THE BACK OR BEHIND THE BUILDING INSIDE THE FENCED OFF AREA IF OPEN.

Customer Cancellations

1. Any registration cancelled in writing at least 25 business days before the class begins receives a refund minus the processing fees $75.00.

2. Cancellations received between 10 and 25 business days before class begins will receive a refund, minus 20% of the registration fee which is $99.00.

3. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than 10 business days before class begins, or for those who fail to attend the course.

Hotel Locations: If you stay in Baton Rouge, I strongly suggest that you stay at a hotel near the training center because of the local traffic. There are many hotels and restaurants near the Siegen Lane/Industriplex Blvd area.  (Hampton Inn & Suites I-10 east off Rieger Rd., Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham off Rieger Rd., Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baton Rouge East off Siegen Lane).

Must have a minimum of 10 candidates for class to take place. If the minimum is not met then the class will be pushed back until the minimum is reached.
