THIS COURSE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY BPI FOR 16 CEU'S!! YOU CAN ALSO EARN ANOTHER 6 CEU'S FOR PASSING THE EXAM!!! TOTAL OF 22 CEU'S AVAIABLE!!! CEU's are only available if currently BPI certified.

This BPI training will provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and preparation needed to excel in the home energy performance industry.

Earning the Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate of Knowledge is your first step into the world of energy efficient home performance. You will learn some of the widely-used industry terminology related to building science. Building science demonstrates how various components of a home interact to affect the home’s overall performance. Understanding the relationships between the building envelope, heating, A/C, insulation, mechanical ventilation, lighting, appliances and other systems of the home will enable you to assist yourself and others. Learn how these systems affect the comfort, health and safety of occupants and durability of the home. Discover why improving the energy efficiency of the home should be the first step toward solar, geothermal, or other renewable energy improvements.

This course is useful for office staff and administrators who need to understand home energy efficiency topics as part of their interactions with fieldtechnicians or communications with clients.

This 2-day BPI Building Science Principles course is a training course to obtain the knowledge about "the house is a system". Obtaining the certificate of knowledge requires a passing grade on BPI's written examination.

When: Training will begin promptly on Thursday at 8:00am. There is a lot of material to cover so plan on being there each day until 4:00pm. The instructor will go over the agenda with you on Thursday morning.
