About the Event

The BPI Building Analyst Professional course aligns with the professional standards of excellence set forth by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). This BPI training will provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and certification preparation needed to excel in the home energy performance industry.

This 5-day BPI Building Analyst course is a certification prep training course. Official BPI certification requires a passing grade on BPI's written and field examinations.

When: Training will begin promptly on Monday at 8:00am. There is a lot of material to cover so plan on being there each day until 4:30pm. The instructor will go over the agenda with you on Monday morning.

Exams: The online (written) exam will be offered Thursday morning at 10:00am. The field exams will be scheduled after the class has begun and each student will be assigned a test date and time for Friday.

What to Bring: Photo I.D. (Required for Testing); comfortable clothing for hands-on training. (We will provide all testing equipment and course materials)

Your chances of passing both of these exams are greatly improved by studying each night during the training - and by familiarizing yourself, in advance if possible, with Building Science principles. Please study Residential Energy, by Krigger and Dorsi, before you arrive at the training if possible. It is the definitive work in our field, is easily readable, but is not required.

Please be on time! Again, passing this course may take additional study time after class hours.

BPI requires that we video/audio record your written and field exams.

Other reminders…

Class/sign-in begins at 8:00am.

PLEASE PARK ALONG THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BUILDING AT THE BACK OR BEHIND THE BUILDING INSIDE THE FENCED OFF AREA IF OPEN.

Customer Cancellations

1. Any registration cancelled in writing at least 25 business days before the class begins receives a refund minus the processing fees $80.00.

2. Cancellations received between 10 and 25 business days before class begins will receive a refund, minus 20% of the registration fee which is $339.00.

3. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than 10 business days before class begins, or for those who fail to attend the course.

Hotel Locations: If you stay in Baton Rouge, I strongly suggest that you stay at a hotel near the training center because of the local traffic. There are many hotels and restaurants near the Siegen Lane/Industriplex Blvd area.  (Hampton Inn & Suites I-10 east off Rieger Rd., Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham off Rieger Rd., Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baton Rouge East off Siegen Lane).

Must have a minimum number of candidates for class to take place. If the minimum is not met then the class will be pushed back until the minimum is reached.
